Quick Race Update

Just a very quick update on the race.....I finished in 2 hrs 12 mins 29 secs so that is a PB for me by 2.5 minutes....yay!!!!

The course was not as hard as I expected and I was in no danger of missing the cutoff at all!

I am so glad it is over and I will update more tomorrow as I am really busy at work today.

YAY for you Miss Pinky!! I was thinking of you on Sunday and wondered how you went.

Good work on beating your best time, and glad to hear it went all OK. Looking forward to seeing a few piccy's.

Great work MP :-) I had a tough day at the office and plodded around to record a super PW for me. Serves me right for not training! Will we be seeing you at the Bankstown half again this year?

hi miss pinky.

i too stayed in the city for the night.
i was looking for your cap. i must of been close cause my time was 2.12.02 lol.

it ended up a very nice run.

i've decided to take on the gold coast marathon lol.my first ever. i've done the GCM Half three times before but this will be the biggest thing i've ever done.

i've had some achilles tendonitis problems, but will just have to run through it till the off season.

i've been jogging for about six years and finally taken this big step. first of all, i'm aiming to finish, anything under 5.30 hours i will be happy with.

its a fantastic course, you should aim for this one year.

i'll be down there for the C2S in August, might see your cap there hey.

Miss lj & Em....thanks for your comments!

Beki....No Bankstown for me. I was so hideously sick from it last year so I have really bad memories of it. Such a tough course....I would die!

Michael....Good on you for stepping up to a full!!!! I bet you will feel so proud of yourself afterwards. I was in the Gold Coast 2 weekends ago and watched a bit of the Gold Coast 100km race...I was absolutely in awe of what these guys were doing. Funny that we were so close in time at the SMH but never saw each other?? A girl from my work came in 20 seconds after me and I didn't see her at all either! To be honest, I don't notice much when I am running.
